ROAS & break-even calculator

Find out in seconds whether your ads actually make money — and the ROAS you need to hit your profit target.

QUICK ANSWERROAS = revenue ÷ ad spend. To know if it's good, compare it with your break-even ROAS = 1 ÷ profit margin. With a 40% margin you break even at 2.5x; anything above that is profit.

FAQ

What is ROAS?

ROAS (return on ad spend) is revenue from ads divided by ad spend. If you spend ₹10,000 and make ₹40,000 in sales, your ROAS is 4x.

What is a good ROAS?

A good ROAS is one above your break-even ROAS, which depends on your profit margin. With a 40% margin, break-even ROAS is 2.5x; with a 20% margin it is 5x. There is no single good number for every business.

How do I calculate break-even ROAS?

Break-even ROAS = 1 ÷ profit margin (as a decimal). A 25% margin means you need a ROAS of 4x just to cover product costs and ad spend.

What's the difference between ROAS and ROI?

ROAS only compares revenue to ad spend. ROI compares profit to the total investment, including product costs and fees, so it shows whether you actually made money.
